The Israeli Green Party strongly opposes the US Green Party's resolution for divestment and boycott of Israel. Calling the resolution "one sided" and "based on incorrect information," the Israeli Greens call for the US Green Party committe to review of its decisions regarding the Palestinian Israeli conflict

The Jewish Community Relations Council of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties issued an Action Alert calling for its constituents to sign the Petition Against Divestment. The alert noted that there are at least four elected officials in San Francisco that are Green Party members and reported a number of Jewish and non-Jewish Green Party members who are upset about the resolution for boycott of Israel. The JCRC is now a co-sponsor of the petition drive.

American for Peace Now recently issued the following statement against divestment: "Americans for Peace Now strongly opposes one sided actions and statements, including divestment, that appear to solely blame Israel for the current conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. These types of initiatives are morally and historically inappropriate and destructive to reconciliation between the Jewish state of Israel and Palestinian statehood. The process of providing Israel with security and the Palestinians with self-determination should be the primary focus of all those who are concerned about the conflict."

The Green Zionist Alliance joined the drive: "The Green Zionist Alliance proudly joins and supports StandWithUs in its campaign to pressure the Green Party of the United States to reverse its Divestment from Israel resolution . . . The Green Party chooses to ignore that Israel was the only country in the world to demonstrate a net gain in its number of trees in the 20th Century. The Green Party chooses to disregard Israel's fluorishing environmental activism. The Green Party chooses to turn a blind eye to increased Israeli governmental allocations for river restoration. We believe the Green Party's divestment resolution contradicts each of its own 'Ten Key Values.'"

The Union for Reform Judaism passed a resolution opposing "efforts to impose sanctions on Israel or on companies working in or doing business with Israel." The resolution states: "We deeply deplore efforts that blame Israel for the failure of the peace process or that seek to use economic actions against Israel, including singling out for divestment companies working in or doing business with Israel. These efforts are more likely to hinder rather than advance the peace process."
